In
accordance with The National Standards for Dance Education,
The Center for Contemporary Dance prepares the next generation of
dance artists through one of the most creative, comprehensive and
intelligent programs in dance education. By employing
additional Standards of Education, The Center for
Contemporary Dance has successfully prepared students for acceptance
into the most prestigious dance programs throughout the nation,
including the Julliard
School,
Point
Park
University
and the Duke
Ellington
School
of the Arts.
Offering classes and
workshops in technique, composition, wellness,
performance and artistic development for dancers of all
levels, The Center
equips students with a broader definition of dance that reaches
into the art of
dance. Students of The Center are guided to the discovery
of their own unique artistic process, allowing them
to consciously use dance as a means of clearly expressing
concepts, ideas, perceptions and emotions. This is how a
dancer becomes an Artist.
So, whether you're looking for professional-level classes or a class
to get you started, The Center has something that's just
right for you. Home to five professional
contemporary dance
companies, The Center for
Contemporary Dance balances structure and creativity to provide
an encouraging forum in which students of all
ages explore and practice the multi-disciplinary art of
movement. Click here to view the current class schedule,
